Summer enjoyment

The past two weeks since Nora's birthday have been a frenzy of summer activity, soaking up every precious moment.  Nora went with cousin Ellie to stay for 3 days while cousin Zach stayed with us.  The boys were inseparable despite their 5-year age difference.
Reading Calvin & Hobbes books together on the road.

Grampy and Grammy came to spend a week at their lake home, and the kiddos spent most of the week there with them.  We spent some fun evenings there with them after work as well.  Fun times included bike rides, boating, lounging on tubes, watching all the fish along the docks, an evening bonfire, listening to the loons, and beautiful sunsets.

Ben and Jen came for the weekend, and Dane roped them into playing UNO down by the lake.

My driver!

The remainder of these photos are snaps from around our farm and during my morning runs, all uploaded randomly.
Potato blossoms
Onion tops

Fresh radishes!

Teddy cooling off during our run.

Nora loves to help me with the flowers.

July 1 garden- don't look too carefully at the weeds!

Country roads.

We walked down to the mailbox one evening, and both Dane and Nora received a Highlights magazine in the mail that day.  I loved watching them walk back up the driveway, each busy studying their new magazines.

Fresh eggs for breakfast.

We (Mike) wrangled the calves into another pasture last evening!

Harry and Sully are very content in their new pasture with water to keep them cool and grass so tall they get lost!
This evening we head west for nearly a week to eventually meet up with the Shepherd family for a few days!  We can't wait!

What a great post!! So many pictures that show the perfect days of summer. :) Thanks for sharing your days with us! Your kiddos are too cute and I chuckle at a lot of their facial expressions in their photos. Enjoy the rest of your summer!! :)

Amanda, have you ever heard the Elvis song "Love Travels Down a Gravel Road"?? Your photos of the farm, driveway, and road remind me of that. Sweet family and beautiful farm. Hoping to maybe catch EB this year! Would be fun to see you all. ~Kari
