We survived!

Our household made it through Mommy's first week back to work, mostly because of all the efforts of the world's greatest Daddy! Before my work day on Monday, Nora had her 2-month appointment and shots. She weighed 10 pounds, 9 ounces and measured 22 1/2 inches long. (50th percentile for both.) Here she is with her "boo-boos." She was a little champ through everything, making it even harder for Mommy to then drop her off at the baby-sitter's house and head to work.
When I got to my desk, these roses from Mike and the kiddos greeted me. (I told you he was the world's greatest Daddy!)
Our neighbors moved away this week and didn't want to move this little truck that their kids have outgrown, so Dane inherited it. He thinks it's pretty great!
He hasn't quite learned to fully steer and maneuver it, but he thinks it's loads of fun to step on the gas and go full speed ahead (not really that fast!) until he runs into something!
He took Nora for a little ride. She seemed a bit concerned about his (lack of) driving skills.
Dane was happy to have a passenger!
Dane's new hat- Mommy was too tired to cook!
Watching the street for the "Elmo truck" he heard while playing in the backyard. For almost a year, this has been his name for all ice cream trucks. We think it must be because of an Elmo sticker he picked out on one of the first trucks he saw.

2 months old

It's so hard to believe our little peanut turned 2 months old today. She is growing by the minute and has become more smiley each day. We have her 2-month appointment Monday morning to see how big she is. Then Mommy goes back to work after 9 wonderful weeks at home.

Kisses galore

The affection continues! Dane is always asking to "smell" baby Nora. Then he gets close to her head and takes in a deep breath of her sweet baby scent before planting a big old smooch on her!
Sometimes she loves the kisses...
...and sometimes she's a bit indifferent!
The other day, Dane and I were sharing a fudge ice cream bar, when Nora started to get upset in her swing. Dane promptly went over and planted a big sloppy kiss on her forehead to try and soothe her. It didn't work, so I had to grab a picture before I picked her up to console her.

The weekend

A walk to the park.
Nora came along for the ride, and just kept cool in the shade of the stroller.
We took an evening outing to the Bellagio with Jeff and Renee and family. Dane gave Camden a stroller ride. Camden didn't seem so sure about the situation!
Carter loves the trains in the Bellagio gardens...
...but he's not so sure about the fountains. It gets a bit loud, and he tried to be brave, but mostly he just snuggled into his Daddy and closed his eyes really tight.
My boys taking in the show.
Dane "fixed" Nora's crib.
Mommy played dress-up again with her cute little doll.
We also went to a birthday party for Trinity and Trelise, but I didn't remember the camera.

A real date

Our first with Jeff and Renee (and no children) in a long time!

Smiles and coos

I caught Nora's first good smiles on camera today. She's been smiling lots for us, but until today, I hadn't captured it.
So happy!
Great smile, just so excited she got her fist in front of her face!
Big brother's kisses always make her happy.

She has started some cute little cooing recently, too!

A whole week...

It's been a week since I posted pictures of our little ones, so here we go.
All dolled up for Sunday today!
Enough with the pictures already, Mommy!
Happy 2nd birthday to Carter today! We had a great time at his party yesterday. Dane had to help with presents, of course.Cute little Trelise and Camden sat next to each other and watched Carter unwrap all his presents.
Camden happily made "confetti."
There are many more pictures from Carter's birthday here.
Nora is getting more and more active all the time. She likes to be entertained while she is awake, so sometimes this activity mat does the trick. Most of the time, she'd prefer to be held and talked to instead!

Saturday and today we slept a bit later than most weekdays. Dane would come into our room and see that we were still sleeping. By the time we got out of bed, he had brought all his blankets, pillows, and stuffed animals quietly into our room and was lying on the floor next to Daddy. This is much nicer than his usual loud and boisterous jumping on our bed! He has also recently taken to calling me Mama instead of Mommy. Not sure where he picked it up, but I think it's pretty sweet!
Some pictures of Mommy and Nora.
She loves to sleep like this during the day.
Her nights have improved greatly this week. She has been sleeping for at least 6 1/2 hours the past two nights. She then eats and goes right back to sleep for another 3 hours. No complaints here!
Cali decided Dane's little chair was a good spot for a bath.
The growing little tummy!
Showering like a big boy. Dane thinks this is the greatest! Last Sunday.

Are you sure this is 100% juice, Mama?

Nora

This is mostly for Grammy and Grampy to see how Nora has grown. It's not too exciting, just the life of a baby!
