I saw the pictures of the flowers and then a picture of two jars with onions in the bottom. I thought, "I've never heard of doing that to keep flowers fresh! I'll have to try it!" Then I noticed your next comment that you were making pickled beans and so I sheepishly proceeded on to the next post, feeling quite silly. ;)
