Back to School!

A few weeks before school started, we had an open house at the school to meet the teachers and bring in supplies.

Dane's 2nd grade classroom is right next to Nora's kindergarten classroom, and their lockers are very close to each other!

While I completed paperwork, my bookworms occupied themselves.

I had their first day of school off of work, so I went for a trail run!

Critters

I take lots of pictures of our animals, so I decided to share some of them in one big post.

Pepin loves to sleep with Dane, but he had to settle for sleeping between our feet while Dane stayed with his cousins this summer.

Our new calf Homer, a Red Holstein/Jersey cross.

We found 7 of these caterpillars living on our parsley this summer.  We brought them in and hatched out butterflies from each of them!

Another sweet little calf.  Tucker is a Montbeliarde/Jersey cross.

Heading North

Over Labor Day weekend, we drove up to Saskatchewan to attend my cousin's wedding.  We made a couple of stops along the way in Rugby and at the International Peace Gardens.
