July 4th

We spent the 4th of July with my parents at their home on Lake Cowdry.  The day started with a pontoon ride around the lake the participate in the parade.  We really decked the pontoon out!

 We also rented stand-up paddleboards for the day and really enjoyed them.

Ducklings

In June, we brought home some ducklings that our neighbor had hatched in an incubator.  Their nest was found on our land while another neighbor was cutting hay.  They grew very quickly, and we wondered what we would do with them since they were never very tame.  However, we never needed to answer that question since one morning we came out to feed them and they were no longer in their enclosure.  Whether they escaped or were taken by a predator, we will never know.
