We enjoyed our quick weekend drive to Coronado Island. We got there late Friday evening and stayed in a "quaint" little (and I mean very small) hotel on the island. The volleyball tournament started at 8am Saturday morning. There were 30+ teams there from around 15 different states present. Our team made it into the bracket play, but we lost in the first round and were done playing by 1pm. We enjoyed hanging out with Ben and many other friends the rest of the weekend. The picture of Ben and myself was taken from some friends' multi-million dollar home just north of San Diego this afternoon where we all gathered for lunch.
We had an uneventful trip home and are now just settling in (i.e. doing laundry) for the week ahead. It should be a little lighter schedule for myself as Dr. Selznick is out of town for a few weeks with his family. This means no call, surgery, or hospital patients until he returns. I finally will get to catch up on all the office work that has gotten put aside in the last few hectic weeks.
We can't wait to head back to Coronado Island another weekend just to hang out and relax. It really is a beautiful place!
