Niketown 5k for Kids

Dane "ran" his first 5k race today with us. Thanks to Daddy, he was the first baby to cross the finish line.
Rehydrating after the race. (Check out the crazy windblown hair!)

Lookin' tough in Daddy's cap!
Pretty soon he'll be pulling himself up to stand around our furniture.

Another year older...

Thanks to all who remembered my birthday with cards, phone calls, and emails. My day was lovely, especially thanks to my awesome hubby! He stopped by my office with flowers during the day and surprised me by taking me out to dinner at the Top of the World restaurant located at the top of the Stratosphere Tower. A picture of us and one of our views (the restaurant revolves so you get to see the whole city while you eat.)

Happy Halloween!

We had a little party this evening with some of our friends who also have little ones still too young for trick-or-treating. Here are a few shots.

Seven months old!

This week Dane turned seven months old and learned to crawl. He doesn't go too far or too fast...yet!

Very proud of himself!!

Little Pumpkin!

Just like the bib says!

My little friend Carter is also a pumpkin here and here.

Weekend Pictures

Dane's newest toy is this walker. Here he's trying to figure out what it's all about.
Since this picture, he's realized how fun it is to scoot all around the house. Watch out, kitties!
Dane grins for Daddy as he waits for breakfast!
We went out to Boulder City for some lunch and then checked out a fun antique shop in their downtown district. Here was a fully functional 1968 pedal boat that we thought was exceptionally cute!

While we were in Boulder City, we took advantage of their beautiful paved trails along the golf course and the gorgeous weather and did some rollerblading.

Dane took a nice snooze!

Mike and I went out for a beautiful evening bike ride along Lake Mead while Dane enjoyed the company of our friend Amy. This is Amy's dog, Candy, who absolutely loves to lick bare feet. Dane though it was pretty funny!

Tired baby

Dane had his 6-month check-up and shots yesterday, so he was a bit sleepy today. Here he is, sleeping in his high chair before finishing all of his squash this evening.
Ever on the move, Dane gained only 2 pounds since his last check-up and weighs 16 1/2 pounds. Still a very healthy, growing little boy!

Go Twins...

...oops, too late. Oakland cut their season shorter than we hoped! Here are some pictures of our little Twins fan in his latest gear from Uncle Mark and Auntie Anna.

"Gotcha, Lizzi!"
"Ooh- that tickles the nose!"

Home again

We made a rather short but sweet visit home for a long weekend. It was very special to have all of our immediate families together. Here are a few photos from our trip.
Dane finally gets to meet his Uncle Mark.

Where's Dane?

I walked into Dane's room where I had left him sitting and playing in the middle of the room with some of his toys. He was nowhere to be seen until I got down on the floor and looked under the crib...

Here I am, Mommy!

Saturdays wipe a guy out!!
Every day Dane gets a bit closer to crawling. Until then, he is able to move around pretty quickly by rolling and scooting. We're not convinced that he'll actually crawl before he decides to just get up and start walking (or running, for that matter)!
